About Us
Founded in 2003 and nestled in the heart of Fremont’s historic Niles district, NotJustQuiltZ is more than a quilt shop — it’s a destination for creative expression and community connection. We are proud to offer one of the largest collections of Aboriginal fabrics in the United States, along with Batiks, top-tier quilting supplies, and custom quilting services.
Our roots are personal. What began as a family passion for fabric and design has grown into a full-service boutique serving quilters across California and beyond. With a mission to inspire, teach, and provide superior products, we’ve built our shop into a haven where both new and seasoned quilters feel at home.
Our Team
A San Francisco State University graduate in Interior Design, Nancy brings a legacy of craftsmanship to her role. An award-winning quilter in both hand and machine quilting, she is also a certified quilt judge and instructor. Since founding NotJustQuiltZ, she has turned her lifelong love of fabric into a thriving business — and is now known as the creative beacon of our boutique.
With over 30 years in financial services, Norman manages daily operations and drives our charitable work, including our involvement with Quilts of Honor. His business acumen and heart for service make him an essential force behind the scenes.
Kent combines his role in long arm quilting projects with a commitment to customer care. Outside the shop, he’s also a nationally certified youth track and cross-country coach — proving that energy and excellence define everything he does.
Our 20-pound fluffy rescue cat, Willy, welcomes customers with charm. He’s a big part of our family—and our shop’s personality.
